PERSONAL PRO GOLF SIMULATORS
PERSONAL PRO AND HOLIDAY GOLF SIMULATORS HAVE BEEN
DISCONTINUED. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE PROTEE GOLF SIMULATOR.
PERSONAL PRO/HOLIDAY GOLF SIMULATOR REVIEW
Spectrum Golf has discontinued the Personal Pro golf simulator. Personal Pro was a division of Holiday Golf. As of this writing, the Personal Pro division has shut down. Their website, www.personalprogolf.com is closed. We are not sure if Holiday Golf is still in business.
Personal Pro used a software program from 1991. The technology in this older software makes it extremely difficult to integrate it with newer software that uses current operating systems. We got constant error messages during installation. The software requires a windows XP compatibility mode. Ball flight is in 2D and is just a white dot moving in a older static image of a golf course. It features static images of golf courses. Not dynamic 3D movement like current golf simulator programs.
Personal Pro did integrate with The Golf Club Game software in 2014. This golf simulator software is a great improvement of the original Personal Pro software. The issue we had is the integration of the new software with the old real course version.
On the plus side, Personal Pro did have one of the better turf tops on the golf simulator market. It was built-in and had about an inch of plush turf. The ball had to be placed on a specific spot and real tees cannot be used. it uses rubber tees.
Spectrum Golf Recommends the Protee Golf simulator. Protee has more sensors ( 101 vs 65), a built-in plush turf top, up to 2 high speed cameras ( measures launch angle and ball spin rate ) current software ( GSA and TGC ), and easier installation.
Be wary of Personal Pro and Holiday Golf. Not sure how much longer they will be in business and provide support.
The GOLF SIMULATOR driving range feature allows you to practice to a green from 10 yard ... 20 yard ... up to 250 yard distances to the flag. Plus a driver tee box practice screen and the standard golf course driving range screen.
You can turn on the ball trace feature to see how multiple shots track!
