Setup Process and Space Requirements

How to Set up the Protee VX?

Setting up the ProTee VX requires two stages: first is the mounting process and the second is the software installation.

And don’t worry if you find the setup process difficult! Spectrum Golf will provide an exact layout showing location of all the components.

The Mounting Process

Step1: If you are wondering whether there is a standard distance between the screen and the hitting area, the answer is none. The device does not require a specific distance as it will read the club and the ball in the space between the hitting mat and the VX itself.

Step2: Once you have decided where to place the device, use the four screws to attach and fix the mount to the ceiling. Keep in mind that the arrow on the mount must be pointing towards the impact screen, while the mount is parallel to the impact screen.

The mount must be vertically and horizontally aligned as well.

Step3: Next, align the ProTee VX with the openings in the ceiling mount. And then lift the device’s openings and slide the system into the ceiling mount. Slide it through until the index plunger clicks into the place.

Step4: After that, connect the power cable to the outlet. Also connect one of the 10m/32’ ethernet cable to the device, while the other end to the USB to ethernet adapter.

Connect the USB to Ethernet adapter to a blue USB 3.0 port on your computer.

Step5: Finally, power the device on by pressing the red switch on the back. Both the right and left LED rings will light up for a couple of seconds. The light will then switch off automatically.The software, which will be installed in the next steps, will switch the lights on when needed.

Software Installation

Step1: Run proteelabssetup.exe from your download folder and click next.

Step2: Next, accept the terms by clicking the ‘I Agree’ button.

Step3: Once one, select ProTee Labs and click next.

Step4: Lastly, click finish. A ProTee Labs icon will be created on your desktop.
