GOLF SCREEN MATERIAL BY THE ROLL

We have been the leaders in custom golf screen development and design since 2010. We recently were able to secure a small order of premium golf screen material from S. Korea. As you know, most of the components of a golf simulator are now made overseas, Launch monitors, overhead units, cameras, projectors to name a few. So its not surprising that golf screen material is now made overseas. We brought in a small test order to check and verify the quality of the material .Initial observations have been extremely positive!
I personally would bet, that I have opened and cut more golf screen rolls than anyone on the planet. I have been doing it since 2010 and I dont measure how much I have cut in yards, I measure it in football fields! When golf screen material is weaved, its done on a 10-12 ft long machine with 1000's of threads being weaved every inch. There are a ton of moving parts and defects happen in the process. A defect could be a broken thread, that will cause a line in the fabric until it is fixed or a liquid ( lubricant ) might drip onto the fabric. These defects are normal and if you have opened and cut screens, you know what I am talking about. Typically on a 40-50 yd golf screen roll, you might see 1-3 of these defects. Typically the manufacturer will mark these on the screen rolls.
We have opened and cut over 300 yds of this new golf screen material and have found ZERO defects! Thats right ZERO! That doesnt mean there will not be any, but the defect rate is extremely low, Nothing is more fustrating than to have to cut out several feet on a roll of material. This material is expensive, so cutting out several feet and can cost you a bit of money. Since this weaving process is new in korea, all of their equipwment is new as well. This lowers the defect rate substantially.
Lets Dive into the Actual Golf Screen Material .
First, the rolls are double wrapped snd sealed on the ends. This prevents any damage or staining during transport. Aside from some tape reidue on the first part of the roll, there is no staining. Each rolls is marked with width and length. The rolls vary in width from 120-122". Each roll is between 30-40 yds. When you order, the actually quantity might be a lirttle more or a little less. For example, if you order 90 yds, it might end up being 96 yds depending on the each individual golf screen roll size. The material is bright white unlike some material that has a slight off white tint to it . The suprising feature on this material is the edges. Both sides are actually sewn and sealed. They also have a very straight edge to them . Typically, you will see waves on the edges of the material that has to be cutout. So if you want to use the whole width and not worry about fraying, this material is for you . We sometimes get complaints from customer who get a raw piece and it has these waves on the edges preventing them from using the whole width. NOT WITH THIS NEW FABRIC. And like I mentioned before, you will not find many defects or staining.
BLACK THREADED POLY BLEND PANEL/PADDING MATERIAL
A few years ago, we worked with a US based manufacturer to develop a black poly material that we could use for golf enclosure panels and padding around the golf screen. Requirements were 120" rolls, strong enough to take a real golf ball at impact and would not rub off onto the ball and possibly leave a mark on the screen . This material checks all the boxes! Its actually the same material as our single layer white poly blend golf screen material except its in black yarn ( not dyed) . You will see a lot of golf enclosures that use the cheaper nylon material for panels. This material scuffs and rips easily and the material will develop creases and wrinkles in it over tim. Not with our poly blend. If you want to give your padding and enclosures a more polished-professional look, this material is perfect. Can also be used for curtains and black screen borders. We have a small quantity on hand right now that is available for immediate shipment. Since we only have a limited supply, quantites are limited to 30,40,60,70 or 80 yd orders. This would be 1-2 rolls per customer to test. Our main order is due in around the middle of june. No limits on quantity. Our pricing is up to 35% LESS than the competition.
