It seems like every other day, a new overseas company is popping up selling golf screens. I cant keep up with them . Go to amazon and check them out. These overseas companies are hitting the US market hard and at a price point that US manufacturers cant touch.
Youtube is promoting them. You see recomendations and posts all over facebook promoting these golf screens.
These overseas companies are selling a 12 x 9 3D poly spacer screen for as low as 169.00 with free shipping! That’s 42.25 per yd.
Temu is selling a 118 x118 grommet/hemmed screen for 122.44 with free shipping. That’s 37.36 a yd
Morelux is selling a 120 x 91 for 116.95. 46.26 a yd.
And I know what you are thinking? They cant be that great of a screen. Well they have a 4.6 to 4.9 out of 5 star rating on amazon.
These screens are not raw material, but hemmed with grommets or sewn in Velcro straps plus free ball bungees and bag.
Plus they offer free shipping. Also take into account the 15% selling fees amazon charges
So on a 169 dollar 12 x 9 screen, they pay 25.35 in amazon fees and approx 20 in shipping. They net around 124 a screen . That means they are making around 31 per yd . And I am not including the labor and materials to install grommets and hems.
I know these companies have a limited number of sizes and most are in metric . Plus they don’t offer the same level of customer support and guidance, but if you need a standard size screen (144 x 108, 120 x 108, 120 x 120 ) they have you covered. I am sure as time goes on, theee companies will start to offer custom golf screen size and more support.
